There’s no denying that everyone has heard of gods and goddesses at least once in their lifetime. Whether your first encounter with the topic was while watching Hercules as a child or reading the Iliad and Odyssey in high school, you’ve heard the tales. Most consist of the usual popular Greek Myths; an underdog doesn’t seem to have what it takes to become a hero, but with encouragement from the gods he becomes one. What most people don’t comprehend is that most mythological history isn’t like that. No, those stories would be made up of gods and goddesses brutally fighting, unimaginable star-crossed lovers, and the like. Now take all of this new found information and try to consider it real. Well, it is. With daring surprises around every corner, you’ll have to do your research, because most answers are in plain sight if you know what you’re looking for. Just check the Color On The Walls.

⇒ BIOGRAPHY

Picture your favorite Disney princess from your all time favorite Disney movie. The young woman’s long and flowy hair, ever-present smile, sweet sounding voice, and seemingly effortless way of making everyone she comes in contact with smile. Imagine the way everything becomes brighter once she comes on screen and how animals sing along to her flaw-free voice. The evils she fights off and the hero who comes to help save the day. Whether it’s Ariel, Cinderella, Snow White, or any of the other princesses you might’ve thought of, there’s no way you could imagine her being an object of negative thoughts or actions, right?

Now picture that as a real living, breathing girl and you’ve got the one and only Allie Calhoun. This girl grew up in the sunny city of San Diego, California with her mother, father, and two older brothers. Unlike the typical Disney story, this girl’s family was not cruel or wicked towards her; no one had an evil vendetta or plan in the slightest! In fact, almost every single person who knew Allie had nothing but good praise and happy thoughts for her! You see, the girl was raised within a caring and generous household. Both of her parents had strong moral beliefs and taught their children the very same. Ever since she was little Allie could recall going to visit the homeless during the holiday seasons, donating money, and helping the less fortunate in any way possible. Mr. and Mrs. Calhoun were and will always be about teaching their children right from wrong and how to provide for themselves as well as for others in need. When it comes to Allie’s older brothers, seventeen-year-old Matty and nineteen-year-old Blaine, they had been the girl’s protective siblings from the start. From the second grade boy who tripped little Allie to the eighth grade girl who spread a rumor about her, Matty and Blaine were always ready to confront their little sister’s demons. When the Calhouns got a letter from Cosmopolitan you can picture how hard it was for the girl to decide whether or not she should accept. She would be taking on a new adventure and experience in life, yet she’d be leaving behind everything that she had come to know and love. After constant convincing from her family and community members she decided to pack up her belongings, get on a plane, and head for her new home.

Most of the students at Cosmopolitan Academy took an instant liking to the little Calhoun girl. Her teachers appreciated her constant participation in class, the staff commended her offers for help, her fellow students didn’t haze her— and she hadn’t even been there that long! Things were and still are looking up, that is if you don’t count those few students who find Allie annoying or unrealistic. When it comes to those who like her Allie is joyous and her usually perky self, but when it comes to the others who don’t like her as much she becomes self-conscious. She tends to think, “What’s wrong with me?” or “What did I do?” and over-analyze the situation to the point where she’s willing to do anything to get on everyone’s good side. But with self-sacrifice comes losing yourself. It’s unclear as to who decides Allie’s future as of now.

⇒ BIOGRAPHY

No one knows a whole lot about Cody Adkins. Not the staff at Cosmo, not his very few best friends, and sure as hell not the random girls who go around claiming that they’ve been close to him before. When it comes to his fast, Cody is even left out of the loop. This exclamation starts before the boy was even born. Jacob Valentine was a 20 year old college student at New York University who was used to a life of structure. His parents had always kept him on a tight leash, making sure his entire grade school life was focused on grades and responsibilities. You know what they say about sheltered kids when they leave home— they go from one extreme to the next. Once Jacob entered college he notice how free he was and became… slightly less irresponsible. One night his sophomore year he went to a party, although party could be an understatement. Nine months later he was granted with the news that his one-time hook-up resulted in the birth of a child; a little baby boy. For weeks the young man lived in denial, ignoring the girl— whose name was Maria— and her phone calls and any other form of contact. Eventually he made the decision to see her, but once glance at the baby boy in her hands and he almost lost it. Since the Valentine parents were rich, Jacob bribed Maria into keeping this a secret, saying he’d give her a certain amount of money per month to help support the child. The funny thing was that Maria refused the money and instead made him another deal: She’d keep quiet if she never had to see him again. It was confusing at first, but ended up making absolute sense. He had made a fool out of the young woman in a way that affected her for the rest of her life. They ended up agreeing and parted ways; Maria finishing her remaining years at NYU and Jacob graduating early and taking over the family’s record deal business.

There was no happily ever after for Maria, on the other hand. She never met that one perfect guy that would promise to help take care of baby Cody. Sure, there were a few relationships after her time with Jacob, but no one was brave enough to stick around and be with her for the long-haul. So after graduating from NYU Maria began working retail at a local Nordstroms. The money wasn’t and still isn’t the best, but it’s a job and as her song grew up she taught him to think that way.

Cody went through his elementary and middle school years as the “un-privileged kid.” All of his and his mother’s extra money went towards his enrollment into New York’s best schools where the kids dressed in lavish uniforms and had famous world speakers; not that any of it went to the young boy’s head. His daily routine consisted of taking the bus to school, attending (most of) his classes, taking the bus home, and helping his mother in any and all ways he could. When it came to deciding which high school to attend Cody didn’t let himself get his hopes up— as if that’s what he ever did. It was an unimaginable surprise to not only get a scholarship letter from Cosmopolitan, but for his mother to convince him to take it. Although he said he’d only go because it was free, he was always somewhat excited for the new adventure. His personality hasn’t changed much since the day he left New York; he’s still that brooding, hard-working young man who doesn’t take anything for granted. He somehow unwillingly made his way into Cosmo’s inner circle, but when it comes to parties and outings you can usually find him off to the side with a beer in his hand. To this day he still wonders about his father and where he is now; if only he knew that another student on campus — a half sibling, perhaps, could help him find all the answers.

Why are some bios not looking the same as the new ones?

Our old bio format was a little… hard to use, so we came up with a new one. So now we have some characters posted with the old bio format, while others are posted using the new one. Hopefully we’ll have all of the bios using the exact same format soon! :)
